Integrations

It connects to what your firm already uses

Meetings, email, calendar and documents, joined to the case file so nothing has to be copied across. Nothing here is required to run the practice.

An immigration file already lives in too many places. The point of these connections is to reduce that number, not to add a settings page nobody opens.

Each one does a specific job, and each one writes back to the case so the record stays complete.

Connected today

Zoom

Start and log client consultations straight from the case file. Meeting links land on the timeline automatically.

Google Meet

Meet links come through Google Calendar, so consultations go out with the invite and nobody pastes anything.

Gmail

Send and file case email from the unified inbox. Every message threads onto the right client record.

Google Calendar

Two way sync with smart scheduling. Consults, deadlines and check ins appear on the calendar you keep.

Google Drive

Bring documents from your firm's Drive into a case file without downloading and uploading them again.

Dropbox

Pull client documents from your firm's Dropbox straight into the right case file.

Microsoft Outlook

Outlook mail and calendar connect to Meridian, for firms that run on Microsoft.

OneDrive

Bring documents from your firm's OneDrive into a case file without downloading and uploading them again.

And your own website: one line of code puts the Meridian Bar on it, capturing enquiries with the conversation attached. How the website assistant works

Built in rather than bolted on

Two things that are part of Meridian rather than a connection to somebody else, because they matter more than most integrations:

  • Signing. Signet is built in. No third party account, no fee per signature, and a public verifier anyone can use.
  • The IRCC portals. The AutoFile extension fills IRCC's online portal pages from the case file, page by page as each one is mapped. No federal system offers a real integration, so this is the honest way to do it.

What is not here yet

We would rather list eight connections that work than thirty logos that lead to a waitlist. What is above is what is connected today.

No public API yet, and no accounting connection. If either ships, it will appear here, and not before.

What to ask any vendor about integrations

A long logo wall is easy to build and tells you almost nothing. Four questions separate a working connection from a screenshot.

  • Does it write back? A link that opens another app is not an integration. Ask whether the meeting, the email or the event lands on the case record afterwards.
  • Who authorises it? A connection that one staff member signs in with breaks the day that person leaves. Ask how it is connected at the firm level.
  • What happens to client data? Every connection moves information somewhere. Ask which sub-processor is involved and where it sits. Ours are listed publicly.
  • What breaks if you turn it off? If the answer is anything more than convenience, the product is leaning on somebody else for something it should own.

That last question is why signing and the IRCC portals are ours rather than a partnership. They are too central to the work to depend on another company staying in business.

Questions people ask

Do we have to use these to run Meridian?

No. Everything works without connecting anything. The integrations exist so the meeting, the email and the calendar you already use do not become a second place to look.

Which calendar does it sync with?

Google Calendar, both ways, so consults, deadlines and check ins appear on the calendar you already keep. Outlook calendar connects too.

Can we send client email from inside Meridian?

Yes, through Gmail in the unified inbox, and every message threads onto the right client record instead of living in one person mailbox. Outlook mail connects too.

What about Outlook and Microsoft 365?

Outlook mail and calendar and OneDrive connect today. Microsoft Teams does not.

Does it connect to Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive?

Yes. Documents in your firm's Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive can be brought into the right case file without downloading and uploading them again.

Is there an API?

No public API yet. Tell us what you need connected and we will say plainly whether it is coming.

Do you integrate with accounting software?

Not yet. Invoicing and case financials live in Meridian and export, but there is no direct accounting connection today.
